Rule 15-12-32-1.2.10 - Loss of Required Trauma Care Capability

Any Trauma Center that loses, either permanently or temporarily, physician, nursing, or other patient care specialties required by this regulation, shall report that loss to the Department utilizing the State Medical Asset Resource Tracking Tool (SMARTT) or other designated automated reported system. If the loss will result in diminished capability for a period longer than 30 days, the facility must also submit a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) that addresses how the facility will become compliant.
