Section 553-10-18 - ELIGIBILITY TO BUY1.Sales to minors prohibited. A person may not sell a lottery ticket to a person under the age of 18 years. This subsection does not prohibit the purchase of a ticket by a person 18 years of age or older for the purpose by of making a gift to a person less than 18 years of age. An agent who knowingly sells or offers to sell a lottery ticket to a person under 18 years of age commits a civil violation in accordance under 8 M.R.S.A. §380 and is subject to suspension and revocation of the agent's license.2.Officers and employees of the commission; relatives. The following persons may not purchase a ticket or be paid a prize:A. An officer of the commission;B. Senior supervisory employees of the commission, as determined by the commission officers; andC. A spouse, child, sibling, parent or person residing in the same household in the principal place of abode of the persons listed in paragraphs A and B.3.Agents.
