Section 096-163-4 - Administration of Rebate Program
A.Following the participating dealer's solicitation of applications pursuant to subsection 3(A)(1) of this Chapter, the Department or administrating entity will issue a letter within 5 working days after the application deadlinenotifying the participating dealer whether the owner qualifies for a rebate. To the extent money is available in the fund, the Department or administering entity will issue non-transferable rebate vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis, to participating dealers that document the eligibility criteria specified in subsection 3(B) of this Chapter.
B. A rebate voucher is only payable directly to a participating dealer and is to be applied toward the removal of the old uncertified wood stove and the purchase/installation of the consumer's replacement heating appliance.
C. Participating dealers must submit a reimbursement request to the Department or administering entity within 90 days of the date of sale. The reimbursement request must include:
1 A signed affidavit on a form prescribed by the Department confirming the participating dealer removed the uncertified wood stove from the primary residence, rendered it permanently inoperable and recycled for metal content or disposed of the uncertified stove.
2 An invoice or sales receipt showing purchase of an eligible replacement heating appliance.
D. The Department will issue reimbursement in the amount specified in each rebate voucher to the participating dealer within 30 days of receipt of all information required by subsection 4(C) of this Chapter.
