Section XXIII-335 - Brand Name ContractsA. Brand name contracts are non-exclusive contracts entered into by the Office of State Purchasing. Because these contracts are not competitively bid, they are usually not considered cost effective.B. The department also discourages the use of brand name products which come in concentrated form.C. The only exception to the use of brand name contracts is computers and computer equipment which have been mandated by the DOTD Information Technology Director for approved usage.
