Section III-311 - Legally Established Nonconforming JunkyardsA. Junkyards which were in existence at the time of the passage of the state law in 1966 and which were not established in violation of any other law, ordinance, or valid regulatory standard, will be screened or removed on a site by site basis by the Department of Highways. In screening nonconforming junkyards, the department's landscape architect in the location and design section shall prepare the necessary plans which will be submitted to the Federal Highway Administration for approval.La.
