Section CXXV-1913 - Strand 7. Professionalism
A. Focus. STAR II students must develop skills of being reflective practitioners; teacher/leaders; and civic advocates for education and educational equity.
1. Standard 9. STAR II students will examine the roles and attributes of teaching professionals, reflective practitioners, educational leaders, and civic advocates for education and educational equity.

9A

Students will identify qualities of a reflective practitioner.

9B

Students will demonstrate their ability to revise lesson plans, unit plans, etc., based on peer feedback and self-reflection.

9C

Students will be able to evaluate a classroom setting using the Louisiana Components of Effective Teaching (LCET) instrument.

9D

Students will describe and apply elements of site-based decision making and teacher/leader roles in collaborative decision making.

9E

Students will collaborate with community partners to develop a service learning project that addresses specific learning needs in the school community.

9F

Students will research information on the NBPTS accreditation process and compare it to Louisiana Teacher Assistance and Assessment Program (LaTAAP) and LCET.

9G

Students will review and practice sections of the PRAXIS using the ETS Testreview website.
