Section 326 IAC 7-4.1-11 - Ispat Inland Inc. sulfur dioxide emission limitations

Sec. 11.

(a) ArcelorMittal USA LLC (Indiana Harbor East), Source Identification Number 00316, shall comply with the sulfur dioxide emission limits in pounds per million British thermal units (MMBtu), pounds per ton, pounds per hour, and other requirements as follows:

(b) ArcelorMittal USA LLC (Indiana Harbor East) shall:
(1) maintain records of the:
(A) total blast furnace gas, fuel oil, and natural gas usage for each day at each emissions unit listed in this section; and
(B) average sulfur content and heating value for each day for each fuel type used during the calendar quarter;
(C) hourly sulfur dioxide emission rate in pounds of sulfur dioxide per hour calculated by dividing the total daily sulfur dioxide emissions in pounds of sulfur dioxide per day by twenty-four (24) hours; and
(D) hourly sulfur dioxide emission rate in pounds of sulfur dioxide per MMBtu or per ton for emissions units with a pounds of sulfur dioxide per MMBtu limit in this rule calculated by dividing the total daily sulfur dioxide emissions in pounds of sulfur dioxide per day by the total heat input per day in MMBtu or by the total tons per day, respectively.
(2) submit to the department within thirty (30) days of the end of each calendar quarter the calculated sulfur dioxide emission rate in pounds per million Btu and pounds per hour for each emissions unit for each day during the calendar quarter, the total fuel usage for each type of fuel used at each emissions unit for each day.
