Section 210 IAC 8-8-29 - First aid kits and AEDs

Sec. 29.

(a) Written policy, procedure, and practice provide that first aid kits and automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) are available in designated areas of the facility as determined by the health care authority in conjunction with the facility administrator.

(b) The health care authority shall establish procedures for first aid kit and AED use by nonmedical staff.

(c) Monthly equipment inspections will be conducted and documented of:

(1) first aid kits; and

(2) AEDs.
