Section 58.01.08.553 - CLASSIFICATION OF WATER SYSTEMS01.System Classification Required. The Department will classify community, non-transient non-community, and surface water PWSs based on indicators of potential health risks.02.Classification Criteria. PWSs are classified under a system that uses the following criteria:a. Complexity, size, and type of source water for treatment facilities.b. Complexity and size of distribution systems.c. Other criteria deemed necessary to completely classify PWSs.d. The Department will develop guidelines for applying the criteria set forth in Section 553.03.Classification Review.
