Rule 511-7-1-.12 - Legal Actions(1) In the event that a Patient suffers an injury as a result of the Health Care he or she has received from a Health Care Provider and desires to seek a legal remedy, he or she must comply with the provisions of O.C.G.A. Section 50-21-26.(2) If at any time it is determined that a Health Care Provider caused an injury to a Patient by or through an act or omission that is outside of the scope of services defined in the Contract between the Department and the Health Care Provider, the Patient must seek his or her remedies under general tort law or any other applicable law.Ga.
