Rule 8-B1303 - VACATION LEAVE: CHANGE IN EMPLOYMENT STATUS
1303.1

If an employee resigns, is terminated, or changes to faculty status, the employee may choose to use accumulated leave or to receive a lump sum payment. The choice shall be made at the time of the change in status.

1303.2

Lump sum payments shall not exceed payment for thirty (30) days of accumulated vacation leave.

1303.3

Employees who resign regular staff employment shall be required to give at least two (2) weeks notice in order to receive payment for unused leave.

1303.4

When an employee transfers from one position to another within the University (without change to faculty status), the employee's unused vacation balance shall transfer with the employee.
