In accordance with D.C. Code, § 1-609.1(d) and applicable District residency rules, each permanent employee hired after January 1, 1980, shall be required to be a resident of the District of Columbia. This provision shall not apply to any person who accepts a position or is hired to fill a position in the Educational Service as an Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in any of the engineering programs of the University.
Each candidate for full-time employment shall be required to provide proof of his or her birth date at the time of appointment in order to establish eligibility for the University retirement plan.
In order to be employed by the University, each foreign national shall be required to meet all requirements established under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, as amended, administered by the U.S. Department of Labor.
