The faculty shall adopt written criteria for determining whether to award tenure to a member of the faculty. The criteria shall conform to the American Bar Association Principles on Academic Freedom and Tenure. The criteria shall be subject to approval by the Dean.
The faculty shall adopt written procedures for the evaluation of faculty members eligible for tenure. The procedures for evaluation shall be subject to approval by the Dean.
The faculty shall evaluate each faculty member who is eligible for tenure, in accordance with the criteria and procedures approved under this section, and shall forward the faculty recommendation to the Dean.
Promotion of tenured faculty members shall be in accordance with the provisions of § 1423 of this chapter.
