The promotion of members of the faculty shall be accomplished through the appointment process, in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. The appointment of a faculty member by the Dean at a higher rank than the faculty member currently holds shall be deemed to be a promotion.
The Dean shall request a recommendation from the faculty for each faculty member who is eligible for promotion.
The faculty shall adopt written procedures for the evaluation of faculty members who are candidates for promotion. The procedures for evaluation shall be subject to approval by the Dean.
