Rule 5-E914 - CHILD DEVELOPMENT LICENSE
914.1

Each public charter school which offers a preschool or pre-kindergarten program shall be subject to the same child care licensing requirements which apply to a District of Columbia public school which offers such a program.

914.2

The Executive Director for Public Charter Schools shall inquire of the District of Columbia Regulatory Affairs Office, on behalf of the Board of Education, in cases in which schools are unable to determine the reasons for not meeting such licensing requirements as referenced in § 914.1.

914.3

Failure of a public charter school to meet child care licensing requirements referenced in § 914.1 by the first date on which the preschool or prekindergarten program commences shall constitute a material violation of applicable laws and the school's charter and will place the charter at risk of revocation.
