Rule 25-B701 - RAW MATERIALS AND OTHER INGREDIENTS
701.1

General production and processing of raw materials and other food ingredients shall be conducted so as to meet the criteria referenced in 21 CFR 110.5 - Current good manufacturing practice.

701.2

The handling and storage of raw materials and other ingredients and rework shall be performed in accordance with 21 CFR 110.80(a) - Processes and controls.

701.3

The control of contaminants in raw materials and other food ingredients shall be accomplished in accordance with 21 CFR 110.80(a) - Processes and controls.

701.4

Food shall contain only approved food additives or additives that are within permissible limits as specified in 21 CFR 170.19 - Pesticide chemicals in processed foods; 21 CFR 170.22 - Safety factors to be considered; 21 CFR 170.30 - Eligibility for classification as generally recognized as safe (GRAS); 21 CFR Part 181 - Prior Sanctioned Food Ingredients; 21 CFR Part 182 - Substances Generally Recognized as Safe; 21 CFR Part 184 - Direct Food Substances Affirmed as Generally Recognized as Safe; or 21 CFR Part 186 - Indirect Food Substances Affirmed as Generally Recognized as Safe.
