Section 29-36m-4 - Waiting period for sale, delivery or other transfer of a pistol or revolver(a) No sale, delivery or other transfer of any pistol or revolver prior to October 1, 1995 shall be made until the expiration of two (2) weeks from the date of the mailing of the copies of the application in accordance with section 29-36m-3(d) of these regulations.(b) The following persons shall be exempt from the two (2) week waiting period: (1) The holder of a valid state permit to carry a pistol or revolver issued pursuant to subsection (b) of section 29-28 of the Connecticut General Statutes; or(2) The holder of a valid permit to sell at retail pistols or revolvers issued pursuant to subsection (a) of section 29-28 of the Connecticut General Statutes; or(3) The holder of a valid eligibility certificate for a pistol or revolver issued by the commissioner pursuant to section 29-36f of the Connecticut General Statutes; or(4) Any federal marshal, sheriff, parole officer or peace officer.(c) Prior to the sale, delivery or other transfer of a pistol or revolver to the holder of such permit or certificate, such person, firm or corporation shall verify with the issuing authority that the permit or certificate under which the exemption from the two (2) week waiting period is claimed is still valid and has not been suspended or revoked.Conn.
