Section 164.056 - Restrooms(A) Restrooms shall be conveniently located and accessible throughout the building, and shall be designed to: (1) permit opening a locked door from the outside in an emergency;(2) ensure privacy through the use of partitions and doors; and(3) provide adequate ventilation through windows and/or by exhaust fans.(B) Restrooms shall be cleaned frequently and maintained in good repair and in a sanitary manner.(C) Restrooms shall have sufficient supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, at all times.(D) Licensed or Approved Providers shall provide an adequate number of restroom facilities which are adapted for use by and accessible to individuals with disabilities or wheelchairs.(E) Restrooms shall be equipped with flashing lights to signal fire or other alarms for hearing impaired persons.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1305, eff. 1/29/2016.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1482, eff. 11/11/2022.
