Section 164.054 - General Areas(A) Each building shall have sufficient and separate space for reception and office areas, including: (1) reception and waiting areas;(2) administrative and staff offices; and(3) storage of patient and resident records.(B) Program service areas shall be designated and furnished in a manner consistent with their use and so as to safeguard patient and resident confidentiality, dignity and privacy.(C) Toxic substances including, but not limited to, alcohol-based products, cleaning supplies and paints, shall be kept in locked storage areas.(D) Alcohol and drugs, other than those medications prescribed or ordered or patient's practitioner, are prohibited on the premises.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1305, eff. 1/29/2016.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1482, eff. 11/11/2022.
