Section 184.1201 - Calcium glycerophosphate(a) Calcium glycerophosphate (C3H7CaO6P, CAS Reg. No. 27214-00-2) is a fine, white, odorless, almost tasteless, slightly hygroscopic powder. It is prepared by neutralizing glycerophosphoric acid with calcium hydroxide or calcium carbonate. The commercial product is a mixture of calcium [BETA]-, and D-, and L-[ALPHA]-glycerophosphate.(b) The ingredient meets the specifications of the "Food Chemicals Codex," 3d Ed. (1981), pp. 51-52, which is incorporated by reference in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 552(a) and 1 CFR part 51.
