Section 364-X-12-.01 - Requirements
(1) The Board may grant an interim permit for comity, not to exceed ninety (90) days in any calendar year, to practice as a professional geologist to persons who apply for such permit and who are eligible under Section 34-41-5(h) and 34-41-8(b)(2), Code of Ala. 1975. The application procedure for an interim permit is identical to that prescribed for continuing licensure as a professional geologist in this State. A person desiring an interim permit will file the prescribed application for license and request in writing at least ten (10) days prior to commencing the work for which the permit is sought that he/she be issued an interim permit. This request will state the reason for requesting such permit, the specific work to which it applies, and maximum time, both in-state and out-of-state, for completing the work.
(2) If the Executive Secretary of the Board finds the application and request to be in order, the request for an interim permit will be referred to a Member of the Board by mail, and upon his/ her approval the interim permit and number will be issued through the Office of the Board.
