Section 30-40-14 - Prelicense education(a) Applicants for a broker's license shall provide evidence satisfactory to the commission that he or she has completed at least 180 clock-hours, equivalent to 12 college semester credit hours, in a course or courses approved by the commission: Provided, That an applicant for a broker's license who holds a salesperson's license in this state shall be required to provide evidence that he or she has completed an additional 90 clock-hours, equivalent to six college semester hours, in a course or courses approved by the commission.(b) Applicants for a salesperson's license shall provide evidence satisfactory to the commission that he or she has completed 90 clock-hours, equivalent to six college semester credit hours, in a course or courses approved by the commission.(c) Any course required by subsection (a) or (b) of this section shall have been completed during the three-year period preceding the date of application in order to be accepted by the commission.Amended by 2023 Acts, ch. 237 (HB 3203), eff. 6/9/2023.
