Section 1609 - [See Note] Prohibition on use of automated law enforcement

No State agency or department or any political subdivision of the State shall use automated license plate recognition systems or automated traffic law enforcement systems.

Added by 2024, No. 135,§ 7, eff. upon the repeal of 4 V.S.A. § 1102(b)(33) (Vermont Judicial Bureau jurisdiction over automated traffic law enforcement violations) and 23 V.S.A. §§ 1606-1608 (automated law enforcement) pursuant to the provisions of Sec. 5 of Act 135 of the 2023-2024 legislative session.
