Section 77-11d-103 - Statement of finder of property(1) A person who finds lost or mislaid property and delivers it to a local law enforcement agency shall sign a statement included in a form provided by the agency, stating: (a) the manner in which the property came into the person's possession, including the time, date, and place;(b) that the person does not know who owns the property;(c) that, to the person's knowledge, the property was not stolen;(d) that the person's possession of the property is not unlawful; and(e) any information the person is aware of which could lead to a determination of the owner.(2) Additional information may be requested by the agency receiving the property, as necessary.Renumbered from § 77-24a-3 and amended by Chapter 448, 2023 General Session ,§ 68, eff. 5/3/2023.Amended by Chapter 394, 2013 General Session ,§ 37, eff. 7/1/2013.
