Section 76-5-104 - Consensual altercation(1) As used in this section, "ultimate fighting match" means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-9-705.(2) In any prosecution for criminal homicide under Part 2, Criminal Homicide, or assault as that offense is described in Section 76-5-102, it is no defense to the prosecution that the defendant was a party to any duel, mutual combat, or other consensual altercation if during the course of the duel, combat, or altercation:(a) any dangerous weapon was used; or(b) the defendant was engaged in an ultimate fighting match.Amended by Chapter 181, 2022 General Session ,§ 30, eff. 5/4/2022.Amended by Chapter 83, 1997 General Session.
