Section 53-2d-503 - Establishment of maximum rates(1) The bureau shall, after receiving recommendations under Subsection (2), establish maximum rates for ground ambulance providers and paramedic providers that are just and reasonable.(2) The committee may make recommendations to the bureau on the maximum rates that should be set under Subsection (1).(3)(a) Ground ambulance providers and paramedic providers may not charge fees for transporting a patient when the provider does not transport the patient.(b) The provisions of Subsection (3)(a) do not apply to ambulance providers or paramedic providers in a geographic service area which contains a town as defined in Subsection 10-2-301(2)(f).Amended by Chapter 240, 2024 General Session ,§ 69, eff. 7/1/2024.Renumbered from §26-8a-403 and amended by Chapter 310, 2023 General Session ,§ 56, eff. 7/1/2024.Renumbered as §26B-4-152 by Chapter 307, 2023 General Session ,§ 40, eff. 5/3/2023.Amended by Chapter 209, 2006 General Session.
