STATUTORY NOTES AND RELATED SUBSIDIARIES

EFFECTIVE DATE OF REPEAL Pub. L. 103-416, title II, §219(ee)(3), as added by Pub. L. 104-208, div. C, title VI, §671(b)(10), Sept. 30, 1996, 110 Stat. 3009-722, provided that: "The amendments made by this subsection [repealing this section] shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act [Oct. 25, 1994]."

The terms "admission" and "admitted" mean, with respect to an alien, the lawful entry of the alien into the United States after inspection and authorization by an immigration officer.
