Section 2424 - Procedures relating to access by individuals to classified areas and information of Administration

The Administrator shall establish appropriate procedures to ensure that any individual is not permitted unescorted access to any classified area, or access to classified information, of the Administration until that individual has been verified to hold the appropriate security clearances.

classified information
The term "classified information" means any information that has been determined pursuant to Executive Order No. 12333 of December 4, 1981 ([former] 50 U.S.C. 401 note) [now 50 U.S.C. 3001 note], Executive Order No. 12958 of April 17, 1995 ([former] 50 U.S.C. 435 note), or successor orders, to require protection against unauthorized disclosure and that is so designated.
