Not later than January 1, 2007, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report setting forth a plan to provide assistance to local educational agencies that experience growth in the enrollment of military dependent students as a result of any of the following events:

INFORMATION TO BE INCLUDED WITH FUTURE REQUESTS FOR EXTENSION Pub. L. 114-328, §572, 130 Stat. 2141, as amended by Pub. L. 115-91, §552, 131 Stat. 1401, provided that: "The budget justification materials that accompany any budget of the President for a fiscal year after fiscal year 2017 (as submitted to Congress pursuant to section 1105 of title 31, United States Code) shall include, with respect to section 574(c) of the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007 (Public Law 109-364; 20 U.S.C. 7703b note [now 20 U.S.C. 7703c] ), the following: "(1) A full accounting of the expenditure of funds pursuant to such section 574(c) during the last fiscal year ending before the date of the submittal of the budget."(2) An assessment of the impact of the expenditure of such funds on the quality of opportunities for elementary and secondary education made available for military dependent students."
