Section, Pub. L. 102-166, title III, §303, formerly §320, Nov. 21, 1991, 105 Stat. 1096; renumbered §303 and amended Pub. L. 104-1, title V, §504(a)(3), (4), Jan. 23, 1995, 109 Stat. 41, provided protection from discriminatory practices with respect to employment of Presidential appointees.

A prior section 303 of Pub. L. 102-166 was classified to section 1203 of this title prior to repeal by Pub. L. 104-1.

STATUTORY NOTES AND RELATED SUBSIDIARIES

EFFECTIVE DATE OF REPEAL Pub. L. 104-331, §5(b), Oct. 26, 1996, 110 Stat. 4072, provided that: "This section [repealing this section and enacting provisions set out as a note below] shall take effect on October 1, 1997."

SAVINGS PROVISION Pub. L. 104-331, §5(c), Oct. 26, 1996, 110 Stat. 4072, provided that: "The repeal under this section [repealing this section] shall not affect proceedings under such section 303 in which a complaint was filed before the effective date of this section [Oct. 1, 1997], and orders shall be issued in such proceedings and appeals shall be taken therefrom as if this section had not been enacted."
