Section 1652 - Separability

If any provision of this chapter, or the application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid, the remainder of the chapter, and the application of such provision to other persons or circumstances, shall not be affected thereby.

CUSTOMS PROCEDURAL REFORM AND SIMPLIFICATION ACT OF 1978Pub. L. 95-410, title IV, §401, Oct. 3, 1978, 92 Stat. 905, provided that: "If any provision of this Act [see Short Title of 1978 Amendment note set out under section 1654 of this title], or the application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid, the remainder of the provisions of this Act and the application of such provisions to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby."
