Section 49.462 - Definitions In this subchapter:
(1) "Recreational facilities" means parks, landscaping, parkways, greenbelts, sidewalks, trails, public right-of-way beautification projects, and recreational equipment and facilities. The term includes associated street and security lighting. The term does not include a minor improvement or beautification project to land acquired or to be acquired as part of a district's water, sewer, or drainage facilities.(2) "Develop and maintain" means to acquire, own, develop, construct, improve, manage, maintain, and operate.Amended by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg. - Regular Session, ch. 105,Sec. 21, eff. 9/1/2013.Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1423, Sec. 24, eff. 6/17/2001.
