Section 391.092 - Regulation of Signs Generally(a) The commission shall:(1) regulate the content, composition, placement, erection, and maintenance of specific information logo signs and supports on an eligible highway right-of-way; and(2) adopt rules necessary to administer and enforce this subchapter.(b) A specific information logo sign must: (1) have a blue background with a white reflective border; and(2) contain a principal legend equal in height to the directional legend.(c) A specific information logo sign may not:(1) contain a message, symbol, or trademark that resembles an official traffic-control device; or(2) be divided into more than six panels that contain establishment names.(d) The commission shall adopt rules, in accordance with applicable federal law, regulations, and guidelines, for determining eligible highways along which specific information logo signs, major shopping area guide signs, and tourist-oriented directional signs may be located. If permitted by federal law, regulations, or guidelines, the commission may establish different highway eligibility criteria for each type of sign.(e) In this section, "tourist-oriented directional signs" has the meaning assigned by Section 391.099.Tex.
