Section 201.711 - Purchase of Food and Beverages for Certain Department Employees Responding to Emergencies or Disasters The department, using appropriated funds, may purchase food and beverages for a department employee who is:
(1) providing services in response to an emergency situation, an incident that endangers the health or safety of a person, or a disaster; and(2) unable to leave or required to remain at the employee's assignment area due to the emergency situation, incident, or disaster.Tex. Transp. Code § 201.711
