Section 51.007 - Evaluation and Report(a) In cooperation with appropriate persons, the commission shall continually evaluate the impact of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway on the state. The evaluation shall include: (1) an assessment of the importance of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway that includes identification of its direct and indirect beneficiaries;(2) identification of principal problems and possible solutions to those problems that includes estimated costs, economic benefits, and environmental effects;(3) an evaluation of the need for significant modifications to the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway; and(4) specific recommendations for legislative action that the commission believes are in the best interest of the state in carrying out the state's duties under this chapter.(b) The commission shall publish a report of its evaluation and present the report to each regular session of the legislature.Tex.
