Section 801.352 - Prohibition Against Interference or Intervention(a) The professional services of a veterinarian may not be controlled or exploited by a person who: (1) is not a veterinarian; and(2) intervenes between the veterinarian and the veterinarian's client.(b) A veterinarian may not: (1) allow a person who does not hold a license to practice veterinary medicine issued under this chapter to interfere with or intervene in the veterinarian's practice of veterinary medicine; or(2) submit to interference or intervention by a person who does not hold a license to practice veterinary medicine issued under this chapter.(c) A veterinarian shall avoid a relationship that may result in interference with or intervention in the veterinarian's practice of veterinary medicine by a person who does not hold a license to practice veterinary medicine issued under this chapter.(d) A veterinarian is responsible for the veterinarian's actions. The veterinarian is directly responsible to the client and for the care and treatment of the patient.Amended By Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 940, Sec. 21, eff. 9/1/2011.
