Section 601.024 - Terms; Vacancies(a) Members of the advisory board are appointed for staggered six-year terms. The terms of three members expire on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.(b) A member may not serve more than: (1) two consecutive full terms; or(2) a total of three full terms.(c) If a vacancy occurs during a member's term, the governor shall appoint a new member to fill the unexpired term.Added by Acts 2015, Texas Acts of the 84th Leg. - Regular Session, ch. 838,Sec. 2.004, eff. 9/1/2015.
