Section 504.159 - Issuance of License to Provisional License Holder(a) The department shall issue a license under this chapter to a provisional license holder who satisfies the eligibility requirements established by Section 504.152. When issuing a license under this subsection, the department may waive the requirements established by Sections 504.152(6), (7), and (9).(b) The department shall complete the processing of a provisional license holder's application for a license not later than the 180th day after the date the provisional license is issued. The department may extend the 180-day period if the department has not received information necessary to determine whether the applicant is eligible for a license as provided by Subsection (a).Amended By Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1373, Sec. 9, eff. 9/1/2007.
