Section 454.054 - Terms; Vacancy(a) Members of the board serve staggered six-year terms, with the terms of two members licensed under this chapter and one member who represents the public expiring on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.(b) If a vacancy occurs during a member's term, the governor shall appoint a replacement to fill the unexpired term.Amended by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1420, Sec. 14.211(b), eff. 9/1/2001.
