Section 2001.558 - Injunction; Civil Penalty(a) If the commission, the appropriate governing body, or the attorney general has reason to believe that this chapter has been or is about to be violated, the commission, the governing body, or the attorney general may petition a court for injunctive relief to restrain the violation.(b) Venue for an action seeking injunctive relief is in a district court in Travis County.(c) If the court finds that this chapter has been violated or is about to be violated, the court shall issue a temporary restraining order and, after due notice and hearing, a temporary injunction, and after a final trial, a permanent injunction to restrain the violation.(d) If the court finds that this chapter has been knowingly violated, the court shall order all proceeds from the illegal bingo to be forfeited to the appropriate governing body as a civil penalty.Tex.
