Section 2025.257 - Term of License; Renewal(a) A license issued under this subchapter is valid for a period set by the commission not to exceed 36 months following the date of issuance. The license is renewable on the: (1) completion of an application;(2) receipt of satisfactory results of a criminal history record information check; and(3) payment of the fee in accordance with commission rules.(b) The commission by rule may adopt a system under which licenses expire on various dates during the year. For the year in which the license expiration date is changed, license fees shall be prorated on a monthly basis so that each license holder pays only that portion of the license fee that is allocable to the number of months during which the license is valid. On renewal of the license on the new expiration date, the total license renewal fee is payable.Tex. Occ. Code § 2025.257
