Section 981.216 - Annual Report(a) Before March 1 of each year, a surplus lines agent shall submit a report to the department for the preceding calendar year.(b) The commissioner shall adopt the form for the annual report.(c) The annual report must:(1) demonstrate that the amount of insurance obtained from each eligible surplus lines insurer is only the amount that exceeds the amount obtainable from an authorized insurer; and(2) include any other information required by the commissioner.Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff. 6/1/2003.
