Section 2201.056 - Authorized Activities(a) A risk retention group may provide:(1) liability insurance for assuming and spreading all or any portion of the liability of the group's members; and(2) reinsurance with respect to the liability of another risk retention group, or a member of that group, engaged in businesses or activities that meet the requirements of Section 2201.055(a) for membership in the group providing reinsurance.(b) A risk retention group may not engage in activities that include providing insurance other than the insurance described by Subsection (a).Tex.
