Section 775.052 - Petition for Dissolution; Notice of Hearing(a) Before a district may be dissolved, the district's board must receive a petition signed by at least 10 percent of the registered voters in the district.(b) If the petition is in proper form, the board shall set a place, date, and time for a hearing to consider the petition.(c) The board shall give notice of the hearing. The notice must include: (1) the name of the district;(2) a description of the district's boundaries;(3) the proposal that the district be dissolved; and(4) the place, date, and time of the hearing on the petition.(d) The notice shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the district once a week for two consecutive weeks. The first publication must occur not later than the 21st day before the date on which the hearing will be held.Tex. Health and Safety Code § 775.052
