Section 286.052 - Administrator, Assistant Administrator, and Attorney(a) The board may appoint qualified persons as administrator of the district, assistant administrator, and attorney for the district.(b) The administrator, assistant administrator, and attorney serve at the will of the board.(c) The administrator, assistant administrator, and attorney are entitled to compensation as determined by the board.(d) Before assuming the administrator's duties, the administrator shall execute a bond payable to the hospital district in an amount not less than $5,000 as determined by the board, conditioned on the faithful performance of the administrator's duties under this chapter. The board may pay for the bond with district funds.Tex. Health and Safety Code § 286.052
