Section 242.551 - Complaint Requesting Inspection(a) A person may request an inspection of an institution in accordance with this chapter by making a complaint notifying the department of an alleged violation of law and requesting an inspection.(b) The department shall encourage a person who makes an oral complaint under Subsection (a) to submit a written, signed complaint.Tex.
