Section 665.022 - Procedure When Senate Is in Session(a) If the senate is in a regular or called session when articles of impeachment are preferred by the house, the senate shall receive the articles when they are presented. The senate shall set a day and time to resolve into a court of impeachment to consider the articles.(b) The senate may continue in session as a court of impeachment beyond the end of the session for legislative purposes or may adjourn as a court of impeachment to a day and time set by the senate.Tex.
