Section 523.0253 - [Effective 4/1/2025] Notice Of Public Hearing(a) In addition to the notice required by Chapter 551, the commission shall: (1) publish notice of a public hearing under Section 523.0252 in a newspaper of general circulation in the county in which the hearing is to be held; and(2) provide written notice of the hearing to public officials in the affected area.(b) If the county in which the public hearing is to be held does not have a newspaper of general circulation, the commission shall publish notice in a newspaper of general circulation in an adjacent county or in the nearest county in which a newspaper of general circulation is published.(c) Notice must be published once a week for two consecutive weeks before the public hearing, with the first publication appearing not later than the 15th day before the date set for the hearing.
