The Health and Human Services Commission is subject to Chapter 325 (Texas Sunset Act). Unless continued in existence as provided by that chapter, the commission is abolished September 1, 2027, and Chapter 531 and revised provisions derived from Chapter 531, as that chapter existed on March 31, 2025, expire on that date. (Gov. Code, Sec. 531.004.)
