Tex. Gov't Code § 508.031

Section 508.031 - Composition of Board

(a) The board consists of seven members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate.

(b) Appointments to the board must be made without regard to the race, color, disability, sex, religion, age, or national origin of the appointed members.
